This Privacy Policy explains how Tepoo (operated by Egint Soft — “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our websites, APIs, and mobile applications (together, the “Service”).

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to people who browse Tepoo as a guest, create an account, use the Android or iOS apps, or otherwise interact with our Service. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use Tepoo.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Tepoo, we may collect:

• Account & profile data — name, email address, username, password (stored as a secure hash), optional gender, bio, hobby, profile photo, and cover image. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account identifiers and basic profile details you authorize.
• Guest session data — limited identifiers so you can try the Service before registering.
• Goals & activity content — goals, stages, checkpoints, tasks, progress, streaks, achievements, calendar entries, proof you submit (such as text, checkmarks, photos, or quiz answers), and related comments or reviews.
• Social & messaging data — posts, reactions, comments, teammate connections, invites, and direct or goal chat messages you send or receive.
• Notifications data — in-app notification history and your notification preferences. On mobile/web push, a device push token (for example via Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can deliver reminders and alerts you enable.
• Device & technical data — IP address, browser or app type, device type/OS, language, approximate region derived from network, timestamps, and diagnostic logs needed to operate and secure the Service. We do not request precise GPS location, contacts, SMS, call logs, or microphone access for core features.
• Media you choose to share — photos or images you upload for avatars or task proof. On Android this may require photo/media permission you grant.

3. How we use information

We use the information above to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve Tepoo (accounts, goals, social features, chat, sync).
• Authenticate you, prevent abuse, and keep the Service secure.
• Send service notifications and optional push reminders you control in settings.
• Personalize your experience (for example language and profile display).
• Respond to support requests and communicate about the Service.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your content to build advertising profiles for third-party ad networks.

4. How we share information

We may share information only in these cases:

• With other users you choose to interact with — for example your public profile fields, goal membership (as allowed by goal privacy settings), posts, and messages you send.
• Service providers — trusted processors that help us host, deliver push notifications, authenticate (for example Google Sign-In), or operate infrastructure, under contractual confidentiality and limited-purpose terms.
• Legal & safety — when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of Tepoo, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may transfer under continued privacy protections.

5. Permissions on mobile devices

Tepoo may request:

• Internet — to sync your account and content.
• Notifications — optional push alerts for tasks, chats, and activity.
• Photos / media — only when you upload an avatar or task proof image.
• Boot / alarms (Android) — to schedule local reminders reliably.

You can deny or revoke permissions in your device settings. Some features will not work without the related permission.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

On the web app we use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies for authentication sessions, preferences (such as language), and basic security/performance. You can control cookies through your browser; disabling them may prevent sign-in.

7. Data retention

We keep account and content data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymize personal data associated with it within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records for security, dispute resolution, or legal compliance (for example fraud prevention or financial/legal obligations). Backups may persist for a short additional window before cycling out.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures such as HTTPS/TLS in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls on our servers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong unique password and protect your devices.

9. Children’s privacy

Tepoo is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable law, you may:

• Access and update profile information in the app.
• Control notification preferences and revoke push permission on your device.
• Export or request a copy of your personal data.
• Request correction or deletion of your personal data, or deletion of your account.
• Object to or restrict certain processing where the law provides that right.

11. International transfers

We may process and store information on servers in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

12. Third-party services

Tepoo may link to or integrate third-party services (for example Google authentication or Firebase Cloud Messaging). Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated in-app or by email when appropriate. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
